Version History Hi! Zebra’s big fall update is here ◕‿◕

First, I fixed a ton of bugs and crashes on iOS 27. I went through every tool: saving and exporting, dark mode, and how things behave when your phone is low on memory or storage

There’s a new tool, Mini Vlog. You shoot short clips (1–3 sec) throughout the day, and Zebra puts them together into one video. You can add the time, place, weather, and step count to your clips, plus text with an entrance animation, photos, and stickers

I’m launching AI video. Pick a template, add a photo, and get a short video, like you riding your giant cat. While the video is being made, you can close Zebra: I’ll send a push notification when it’s ready. I’m rolling it out gradually, and it’ll be available to everyone soon

I added 7 new handwritten fonts. I also sorted the fonts into categories, added “Popular” and “New” sections, and added favorites: press and hold a font to add it to your favorites. It works in “Text on Photo,” collages, and carousels

“Text on Photo” now has blurred text, the shadow is stronger, and you can change the font with one button right above the layer

Story series are here, for when you want to tell a story across several stories in a row. Select all your photos at once, and Zebra creates a separate story for each one in the order you picked them. You can leave a note on each one about what to say in it, so you don’t forget your idea. Design the stories one by one, and when everything’s ready, save the whole series to your gallery with one tap, without opening each one separately. You can also duplicate a series along with its notes and make a new one from it

I added a bunch of new story templates

Filters are now sorted into groups, with a “New” section and favorites. Carousels got new effects: blur, darkening, bottom shadow, and grain

I built my own photo crop tool: you can drag any edge, choose proportions like wallpaper, YouTube, 3:2, or 21:9, rotate, flip, and undo a step. I rewrote the “Before/After” tool from scratch: live preview, smooth 60 frames per second, and 7 divider colors

There are now widgets with quick tools on your Home Screen and Lock Screen. You choose the tools in “Settings” → “Widgets”, and it’s handy to put the Mini Vlog tool there

And a few smaller things: blur now has undo and redo, collages let you adjust the spacing between letters and lines, the Share menu is more convenient, and videos can get darkening, blur, and grain with a live preview. “Memories” got zoom and video scrubbing, and AI styles got a “Popular” section

I added new designs to the “Text on Photo” editor. You can now build lettering from magazine cutouts, style it like label tape, a stamp, or a receipt. You can also make cutout letters that let the photo show through. There are separate colored backgrounds for words and an iOS-style highlight. Try everything on your own text and choose a color

I added new film filters and photo effects: ribbed and fogged glass, prisms, digital distortion, and motion blur. You can now open filters right inside the “Text on Photo” editor, edit the background photo, and keep the lettering where it is

I upgraded collages. You can now add cells of different shapes to your own grid, resize them, and rotate them with two fingers. You can also adjust the spacing between cells: place photos right next to each other or leave more room between them

“My Style” has arrived in carousels. Your saved fonts, colors, text styles, images, and watermarks can now be used on slides too. It’s easier to give the whole carousel your own style

I gathered AI filters and styles in one catalog. Choose a design, add a photo, and set the format for the image you want to create. Finished results are collected in one gallery, so they’re easier to find again

If you don’t know what to write, the AI assistant in the “Text on Photo” editor will suggest post ideas. Choose one you like, adjust the draft to make it yours, and add the text to your photo as separate paragraphs. Each paragraph can be positioned separately

There’s now a cache-clearing option in Settings. You can delete temporary copies of images, stickers, and AI image previews to free up space on your phone. Your projects and saved files will remain

I fixed issues with saving photos and videos, opening projects, and using effects. I also filled in more translations throughout the app, including the widget and the Share menu

The main new feature is automatic stories. Zebra will parse your photos directly on your iPhone, select a design and compile a finished story. And if you don’t know what to write, the AI ​​draft will offer several options in the right intonation. All text will remain editable. AI can now rewrite, check, translate and continue text directly in the editor

Reworked the export: text and elements are saved in 4K resolution, this quality of text is nowhere to be found when exporting

Added “Living Background”: you can enliven a photo with a smooth movement, spiral or zoom, and put hearts, stars, circles or any emoji around the main object. The result is saved as a photo or video

In collages you can now draw your own cells with a brush - this has never happened before. Change the brush size and smoothness, paint any grid and then edit it like a regular collage

Big upgrade for the video editor: new canvas formats, guides and smart snapping to the center, edges and adjacent layers. Layers can be duplicated, reflected, changed their transparency, order and exact angle. Background video can now be moved, scaled and pinned

I brought order to projects: now you can put them in your own folders, add them to favorites and restore them from “Recently Deleted”

A text brush has appeared in “Text on Photo”: write any word directly on the canvas. Added a precise rotation ruler, quick access to fonts from “My Style”, the ability to pin your favorite tool or hide all buttons if they interfere with working with text

The big one is "My Style". It's your own personal kit: colors, fonts, text styles, watermarks and images are saved once and then drop into any project with a single tap. Saved text comes back exactly where you left it, and an image from your kit can go straight to Remove Background

The video editor now does video over video — picture in picture. You can move the second clip, duplicate it, replace it, give it its own sound, loop it or freeze it. And both the background and the top clip can now be trimmed by length

Added a pile of new one-tap templates — the background is picked from the color of your photo, and the date and place are pulled from the shot itself

You can now start a new project with more than your own photo: a transparent background, a color of your choice from the palette, or any of your favorite backgrounds

The main screen got template search — it looks through names, categories and tags

In collage you can now set the playback order for videos: cells play one after another instead of all at once, very much a trend

Added a "Wallpaper" canvas format — sized exactly to your iPhone screen, so you can easily make yourself a wallpaper

Fixed lost recordings in Voice to Text and photos disappearing in the AI tools if you background the app mid-generation. Stickers and backgrounds no longer vanish from the cache on their own. Fixed the translation across all 34 languages and cleaned out a pile of small bugs

In this update I fixed carousel saving and some other bugs you told me about. And I added new templates

All the templates are now sorted onto shelves right at the entrance, with the "Trending" shelf on top holding my own hand-picked selection, and "Quick collage" next to it with the popular grids. Nothing to hunt for anymore

Carousels got a big upgrade. They're a full editor now: speech bubbles like in a chat, brushes (marker, glowing neon, dotted), text styles with backdrops and a strength slider, and photos you can cut into a shape, flip, erase, and round off corner by corner. There are also post captions next to the slides, a 16:9 format for VK and Telegram, separate audio for every clip, and a way to fill all the empty slides by picking one photo

Filters can now be browsed as a grid — all of them at once, with favorites and quick switching

Search in Tools finally works properly: it searches by category and understands synonyms

In "Background removal" I added an emoji outline and a star outline, with adjustable spacing

I fixed bugs and crashes: the eyedropper quitting on large photos, the crash on the symbols screen, the canvas freezing after the keyboard, lost video slides, layers slipping when you changed format. I also sped up carousel and preview exports — they're noticeably snappier and more stable now

New home screen. I rebuilt the first screen from scratch: shortcuts to your favorite tools up top, rails of fresh templates and AI styles below. The "Start with a photo" button is always within reach, and a source picker now floats above the gallery — gallery or files. You can switch back to the old design in Settings any time

Favorites. There's a separate tab now: drop tools, AI styles and templates in there so you never have to hunt for them again. Long-press any card and it's saved

Tool search. It now searches the whole app and groups results by category. It understands synonyms too: type "cut out background" and it finds "Background Removal"

The AI assistant moved onto a single screen. The whole idea catalog is right in front of you, a new prompt library, and the "Ask a question" button sits under your thumb. I also fixed a pile of small things: the disappearing "Recent" section, the chat resetting when you close it

"Text on photo" got easier to use. Quick actions right in the layer toolbar — text on a curve, eraser, size matching; one tap makes every text the same size or font. Smart guides showed up too: a layer snaps to the edges of its neighbors. Plus a new "Original" canvas format

Collages. I completely reworked the section: there are way more ready-made templates for every taste now, and everything runs more stably and faster. Build a collage from photos and videos in a couple of taps

Text behind objects. I added new wrap effects to Draw with Text: text in a spiral, in waves, in lines or in rays wraps right AROUND a person/object - like it's going behind them. The background is cut out right on your phone, no internet needed. Pick an effect in the pretty new menu with previews - and you're done

Saving curved text got more flexible - there's a new export menu: either the whole image, or just the text as a transparent PNG so you can paste it anywhere

In Text on Photo I added brush drawing - a regular brush, neon glow, glitter and even an emoji brush. Draw right on top of your photo

Film filters. I added 23 new presets in the style of Kodak, Fuji and Polaroid - on every screen with filters. The most popular ones are at the top now

Background Removal got snappier - the object outline exports 4x faster and now matches the preview pixel for pixel

In DuoCam I added exposure control - swipe up/down on the frame to make it lighter or darker

Fixed bugs and crashes: black preview when opening filters, a crash when undoing an action, copying/saving an element without the selection frame. Things are more stable now

Text behind the object! In “Draw with text” he introduced new wrapper effects: text in a spiral, waves, lines or rays immediately wraps AROUND a person/object - as if it goes behind him. The background is cut directly on the phone, without the Internet. Select an effect in the new beautiful menu with previews - and you're done

Saving text along a curve has become more flexible - a new export menu: either the entire image, or just the text as a transparent PNG, so you can paste it anywhere

In “Text on Photo” I added brush painting - regular, neon glow, glitter and even an emoji brush. Draw directly on top of the photo

Film filters! I brought 23 new LUT presets in the style of Kodak, Fuji and Polaroid - in all screens with filters. The most popular are now on top

“Background removal” has become faster - the object’s outline is exported 4 times faster and now pixel-for-pixel matches what you see in the preview

DuoCam has added exposure control - swiping up/down the frame makes it lighter or darker

Fixed bugs and crashes: black preview when opening filters, crash when canceling an action, copying/saving an element without a selection frame. It has become more stable

Carousels now do video! I've added video slots to the carousel editor — build carousel posts from photos AND videos at once. Plus you can now build carousels by hand and save them as projects — come back and finish whenever you want. And smart slots: drop in several photos at once, and the zoom and frame position get remembered

I rebuilt Curved Text almost from scratch — a semicircle and new presets, shapes (including a heart) you can drag with your finger, delete with the little x, and draw your own text on top. It saves as a transparent PNG so you can stick it anywhere

Outline got an upgrade — I added new styles: double, gradient, wavy, scalloped, "sketch," and soft glow. Both in Remove Background and in the standalone tool

Blur got some love too — now you can paint over things by hand with a brush (handy for faces/plates), plus a new soft glow effect

Fixed a ton of bugs and crashes: export in Text on Photo (layers, transparency, out-of-memory crashes), filter loading, slow-motion video export, and memory hogging. It's all more stable now

Fixed a ton of bugs and crashes — there'll be way fewer crashes now (especially in Text on Photo, Remove Background, and the video editor)

- Auto-Enhance — an on-device neural network balances light, color and contrast with one tap
- Price-tag stickers (Tag) — the trendy “tag” look: font, color, rotation, fully customizable
- The AI assistant is smarter — it remembers your recent messages and no longer “jumps” when replying

Filters:
- Added a fresh pack of filters to the Filters screen — new 2026 presets
- Previews load faster and scroll more smoothly

Object removal:
- Now works offline and is super fast — wipe stuff out in a second, no internet needed
- The old cloud method is still there — it’s slower, but the quality is higher, pick whichever fits the job

Text on photo:
- Fixed “text behind object” — the state is no longer lost when you reopen the project
- The background under the text no longer “degrades” after repeated edits
- The canvas size menu now opens on the first tap
- Fixed a crash when undoing inside the curved text editor

Yes :| There are more bugs than I would like, and I fix everything as quickly as possible - that’s good!
I fixed filters, blur and a lot more under the hood.
